The Dog and the Cat

Age: 3-6

Discover The Dog and the Cat, a humorous story in verse by Hovhannes Tumanyan. One day, the Dog takes a sheepskin to the Cat, who makes hats, and asks him to sew a warm hat. The Cat promises to do the job but keeps making excuses and delaying the work. After an argument, the Cat runs away without returning the sheepskin. From that day on, whenever the Dog sees a cat, he chases it, demanding his sheepskin back. This funny Armenian classic tells the imaginative story of why dogs chase cats.
